Block Party Poster - This is a one color print used to promote an event.
Conservation Ad - This is a full color piece to raise awareness of the growing issue of deforestation. It uses a strong image to gain the attention of the viewer. White space was used to create a focal point, hierarchy, as well as asymmetrical balance.

Event Poster - This is a two color print used to promote awareness of a sale event. The concept was to create a piece that was "eye-catching", easily readable, and effective in delivering the purpose of the poster. Negative space was used to create contrast and divide the different areas of the poster (event, slogan, and contact info).
Lissitzky Poster - This is a two color print used to pay homage to El Lissitzky. The concept was to create an inspiring art piece while invoking a feeling of mourning and sadness. The red was used to create a balance in the piece as well as provide direction for the viewer's eye throughout the piece.
Magazine Contents Page - This is a full color print created to provide order, reference, and user friendliness. The idea was to create a piece that was easily recognizable, through the use of the "iTunes look", as well as eliminate clutter and make use of the available space to arrange the material in a manner that is attractive and readable. A figure/ground relationship was created using a cool gray in to invoke the perception of depth and allow the warmer, brighter colors to come forward as they are what is important.
Magazine Cover - This is a full color print making using of anomaly through the combined images. The image had a purpose of delivering the idea of "green" architecture. The logo uses an intentional misspelling with the purpose of creating a more hands on or personal feel to the magazine. The type along the right was used as a preview of what is discussed within the magazine. The added abstract shapes below the type are used to create an easy transition into the image through repetition and movement.
Event Poster - This is a full color piece that was created to promote awareness of a DJ whose was going to performing at a bar. The imagery is used to coincide with the Gothic look while tending to avoid the obvious and over-used black. The brighter colors were chosen due to knowing the piece was to be hung in a dark bar and this would allow it to be easily seen. The pink was used in the event name to correlate with the femininity of the DJ.
Direct Mail Piece - This is a full color print that was created to promote awareness of a sale happening at a skateboard shop. The concept for the front was to provide the primary information and create a warm summer feeling to coincide with the time of year. The concept for the reverse side was to provide some of the sale information, hours of operation, and contact information with a feeling of a cool summer night. The orange was reintroduced on the back to create a balance and similarity with the front.
Book Cover - This is a one color job created to provide the topic and name of the workshop. The abstract letter 'i' is used to duplicate the feel of intaglio prints and the overall look of etching. The concept was to create a clean and effective look while maintaining effectiveness through the use of solid type and a lot of white space.
Book Jacket - This a full color print created to be used as a cover for a book. The unique type treatment used on the cover was used to invoke a more humanistic quality between the main characters. The grungy background was used to represent the style of Kurt Cobain and the pink was used to represent the femininity of Courtney Love (the main characters). The pink was continued throughout the piece to represent the ominous presence of the female character.
