BasicKnives, the set. - BasicKnives reinterprets one of our most basic kitchen tools, the knife. The set of knives makes other kitchen tool redundant by incorporating different (cutting)-actions within the un-used surfaces of the blades. All manipulations happen within the thickness of the blade, reducing manufacturing interventions, and preventing interference within the original cutting action. The co-injection moulded handle is produced by using the 'unfinished' rapid prototype for the master. The 0.1 mm building steps leave a 'wood grain'-like surface, creating grip, and referencing to traditional handles. (for more information see http://www.caroline-noordijk.com)
