This conceptual UConn Department of Art & Art History identity system consists of three levels: an umbrella logo, seven BA/BFA concentrations and two MA/MFA concentrations. The drip mark is a unifying visual because each Fine Art concentration encounters this form in some way, whether though paints, inks or clay. To distinguish between concentrations, each logo is color coded while retaining the same graphic treatment as the umbrella logo. The colors for each concentration were derived from the color wheel, expressing that each concentration is part of a larger whole and that UConn incorporates all spectrums into their educational curriculum.
