S3 aims to offer a design solution for Eastern European furniture startups and also SME (small and medium-sized enterprises). The aim was to make a line of objects that can be produced easily & fast using simple tools and ready-made materials, without requiring hi-tech machinery, that can often be an expensive.
This speeds up production and reduces waste but also lowers the costs. A key element in the design language is the underframe structure. This frame can be easily adapted for a wide family of objects while still maintaining important design elements like practicality and aesthetics. To increase practicality the objects can be stacked vertically.
With S3, we focused to combine efficiency, practicality and aesthetics. The clean shape and the natural materials used like wood and felt, are the very nature of the S3 design.
