Red Ape Reserve - I had the privilege of putting the finishing aesthetic touches on this new stellar structure. It brings the orangutans into the Oregon sun and rain after living solely indoors for their entire lives. There is an indoor enclosure with doors to the outside where a water feature and miles of rope await them. I aided in the artificial rock and tree forms.

Red Ape Reserve - This 40' tall tree contains a spiral staircase which has portholes along its climb. The staircase is for the zo keepers who can place treats and games in the portholes. My team and I carved the exterior of the holes to resemble knots in the weathered tree. This enrichment activity will give their new environment a degree of novelty which is very rare in primate enclosures.
