There was once a famous painter who, when asked about his preference of medium, his choice of brushes, and other specifics about his technique, said to his interviewer "I can paint with birdshit and a shoestring."

Good painting (design, etc.) is a product of a keen eye, not the medium. A competent artist can adapt to any media.

I graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts Painting from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in 1996, with an emphasis on Photography and Illustration. I have been working as a freelance artist and consultant since 1994.

Since I college, I have worked as an agency Web Designer, a T-Shirt Graphics Designer, Webmaster, Print Designer, Copy Writer, Editor, and Marketing Advisor. I've worn a lot of hats.

Most of my professional skills have been learned after college, the hard way. This includes web design, CSS Layout, Photoshop and most of the layout software that I now commonly use. I know that one of my strengths is an ability to learn the skills or technology necessary to fill a role.

I've been using Photoshop and Illustrator for nearly 12 years. I have 9 years experience working with Dreamweaver and Fireworks. I also have a several years of experience with In Design, Premiere Pro, Painter, Word Perfect, MS Word, Poser, Flash and several audio recording programs. I am currently learning Maya, ZBrush and After Effects. Concept Art and Digital Matte painting are growing interests of mine.

I am looking forward to working with professionals who can offer challenges that will allow me to flex some creative muscle and also further develop my skills.
