My friends love to comment on my obsessive compulsive tendencies when I move apartments. I prefer to recall each of my moves as an exercise in effectiveness. Over the years I have experimented with various lists, spreadsheets, and labels and certainly one of the more well remembered are these moving labels.
It would be a rare person that would look forward to the daunting task of packing up an apartment only to unpack it later. And it is a rare move that doesn’t include the misplacement of something important. These labels will make the project more manageable. I have used these in two moves now and I think even I heard a sigh of relief from the movers when they realized what I had created. The labels are intended to fold over the corner of a packed box, with the box contents written in on the side. In this way someone looking down at the box that he or she is carrying will easily know to which room it belongs and then once stacked among the other boxes one can easily see what the box contains. Not quite so dreadful anymore, right?
