CAREER-RELATED EXPERIENCE

Kenroy Home. March 2008-May 2009.
Industrial Designer.
Researched, designed, and developed portable lighting, fixtures, and fountains for the Kenroy Home brand, as well as for special customers such as Acacia, Home Decorators Club, Menards, Front Gate, and Seventh Avenue. Communicated designs through hand sketching, CAD, and working drawings to Asian vendors on a daily basis. Value-engineered products to reduce manufacturing costs. Traveled to trade shows to aid in the setup of showrooms, meet with customers, and analyze trends.

Working Class Studio. March 2007-June 2007.
Intern.
Designed hard and soft goods, researched trends, and prepared presentations as part of an interdisciplinary collaborative product venture within SCAD. Communicated design ideas through hand sketching, working models, and CAD. Developed designs for clients such as Barnes & Noble, Blik, and Coca Cola, as well as the Working Class Studio brand .

Hasty Plywood/Danko Design Initiative. August 2006-March 2007.

Designed and engineered chair based on existing product line, conducted materials and finishing research, prepared forms for production, provided quality control for finishing department, processed product for packing and shipping.
