Senior Thesis Model at CCS - 2003. Designed as a LeMans Roadster to usher in the return of the Auburn brand as a premium American product. Sponsored by the American Plastics Council, this design was an exercise in an entirely composite / plastic intensive vehicle, inspired by the forms of the original boat-tail Auburn, as well as the modern high speed offshore racing powerboats. Classic boat-tail lines are formed by the contrast of the dark grey chassis, and the white pontoon fenders.

Final Milled Foam Model - Model milled directly from ALIAS data in 40lb foam. Upper roof/glass area vacuum formed from foam milled tool. Model painted with automotive finishes.
