From Utility to Desirability - This product is a concept cooking hob which aims to raise the profile of cooking appliances and pioneer a change in the domestic appliance market. By capitalizing on the nations interest in cuisine and style and by addressing the issues associated with current cooking appliances, it looks to change the perception of the product as a purely functional item. The concept reflects the way people cook and what they cook. It offers wok burners, warming zones, preparation areas and a dual heat fish kettle and griddle zone. The 'arched' arrangement is ergonomically designed to allow users to reach for pans withouht difficulty giving clear visibility and flexibility on the cooking surface. The use of formed glass means that the pan supports are integrated into the cooking surface, they are easier to clean and give improved pan stability. These are photographs of a prototype made using a CNC machine with files transferred from Pro-Engineer.

Flueless Stove Concept - This visual is a concept for a flueless gas stove. The product is completely freestanding and utilises catalytic converter technology to remove harmful fumes and toxins.
