This work began with combining my knowledge in glass and ceramics. I wanted to do control meltdowns and create a material that was in between ceramics and glass, and clay and glaze. The developed material was a type of ceramicglass (like that of stove tops). Yet unlike ceramicglass this material was weaker and more fragile but tough enough to avoid proper annealing much like ceramics. I call the created material that sits in the purgatory Claze.
