I was born and raised in central Mexico. In 2003 I moved to San Diego to take a series of design related classes at San Diego State University. During that time I received my U.S. Residency.
By the end of 2004 I returned to Mexico to finish my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design. This Bauhaus based major led me to discover and learn the infinite possibilities of applied & fine arts. In the professional field I'm able to approach design projects with perspective and peculiarity. However, my studies have always been inclined to Graphic Design, Typography, and Illustration.
OBJECTIVE
To work as a designer and use my unique creativity and diverse technical skills to benefit clients with my attention to detail, efficiency, and attractive design. I also seek to add meaning, purpose, and value to my ideas and concepts. Design can have a significant impact in our world. I strive to make a positive one through my work.
SKILLS
Bilingual Designer (English/Spanish) with a strong understanding of Marketing and Copywriting.
Experienced in Typography, Print, Illustration, Conceptual Direction, and Product Development.
Proficient in Adobe’s Creative Suite 3 Design Premium: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Acrobat Professional with the use of a digital pen tablet.
Familiar with HTML, CSS and ActionScript programming as well as intermediate knowledge of QuarkXpress, Autodesk Maya, Extensis Suitcase, CRM Sugar, Corel Draw, and Microsoft Office.

As part of this ground breaking online food encyclopedia, I was put in charge of the branding and creative direction of the first International Food Blogger Conference in Seattle (IFBC).
I was also responsible for giving Foodista a fresh new look among social platforms online like Twitter, Facebook and Cafepress. This soon showed an increase of followers and traffic.
