Ryan Shields

Industrial Designer for Hire — Atlanta, GA

About

Studying at Georgia Tech required me to work almost exclusively with exceptional people. I was the first to publicly demonstrate the Stylii, Matthew Stoddard's invention, which claimed 2nd place and $10,000 at Georgia Tech's Inventure Prize in 2012. Immediately following my Senior Capstone Studio, sponsored by Micromeritics Instrument Corporation, my teammates would graduate to become world class engineers.

Since graduation, I have been employed at the 2nd largest architecture firm in Atlanta, working on projects for the Georgia State Properties Commission and directly with the Department of Juvenile Justice. I am at home in the office and in the field, with CS6 or a pen and clipboard. While the architecture experience has been eye opening, I can't wait to become a part of the product design profession.
