The idea for this project came from my Idea Notebook; a collection of project ideas accumulated over the semester. I interviewed dorm residents to get a sense of the problems with the current dorm desk. The final design was a modular desk for a dormitory. I learned about furniture construction and using off the shelf components from this project.
