Working with the project architect, The Spotify Marketplace is a meeting environment for employees to congregate in an uplifting, casual setting to synergize ideas and collborate. Working with a specific set of materials, configurations, and expectations, I developed this design from basic plan views.
The banquette seating is upholstered and creates the focus. Variable seating depths allow for unorthodox seating postures to encourage comfort and spontaneity - the desired goal of the space.
The tables are also varying heights. Each size and form encourages sit-stand postures and provide a gather spot for earnest conversation and multiple function. The tops are both white HPL and moulded, treated concrete for durability and a juxtaposition of textures and contrast.
