Restoration, colorization/enhancement of a photo from the 1800s. The project was done off of a digital photo that did not contain much pixie color data such as seen on parts of the trees, sections of the wall, as well as the far reaching horizon (i.e. the sea, mountain and sky). For this reason of lacking, visual assets had to be digitally constructed to replace the components that were not visible enough.
Vintage Photo Restoration, Colorization and Enlargement. This project consisted of taking an old black and white damaged photograph in order to create a fully restored, colorized and enlarged reproduction version of it. Image "A" shows the original photo in its actual size compared to a human hand. Image "B" shows once the photograph is enlarged but prior to it having any kind of restoration work done on it. An original hand written letter by Queen Marie of Romania. The project consisted in re-creating a previously printed version of the letter that had been combined with a decorative backing to it. This creation of the reproduction was achieved by first re-imaging the original letter with the highest resolution possible and then digitally combining it with the backing that matched the previous one created. Image "A" shows the original letter imaged. Image "B" shows one portion of the decorative backing that is to be combined with the digital image of the letter. Image "C" and "D" show a more close up view on how much identical the reproduction made is with original painting. The reproduction was printed on archival and museum quality media, as well as one that closely matches the original paper in texture and in color.
Coloring and restoring an ancient Egyptian wall relief artwork. The project was to create a modern day artwork derivative from an ancient Egyptian wall relief artwork by first digitally restoring a certain percentage of it, and then coloring its various components with the appropriate and closer to real life colors . The final result was the image on the right side.
