Public Lavatory Krakow

Sanitary building is located close to the tram stop by the recently exposed historic ruins of Krakow fortification - Bastion V. Its naturally incorporated it into their system while creating a functional building-gate leading to the formation of the public space square-waiting. Waiting area generates an attractive place for people waiting for their means of transport. Elongated shape of the building was also best suited to the creation of this site is legible and clear of all the functional components of the project.

Used material which is an external brick directly refers to the re-exposed ruins of historic bastion and indirectly to the cavernous history, which can boast Krakow. Brick in the mosaic arrangement provides adequate access to the interior light in the day while creating an interesting play of reflections on the walls and floor of the rooms at night and the mood lightens the building, making it the characteristic element in the space.
