Expert Visual Information Specialist/Interpretive Exhibit/Customer Service & Relationship Development/File
Designed professional marketing, exhibit and visual information packages and products that successfully por- trayed and supported the mission and goals of the U.S. Army Medical Department (AMEDD), U.S. Army Public Health Command (USAPHC), and the Army Institute of Public Health (AIPH). Through our products, USA- PHC created awareness on wellness issues; suicide prevention, rabies and health and fitness. The international target audience was Soldiers, Family Members, Retirees and Civilians.
INTERPRETIVE EXHIBITS AND VIDEO
ACHIEVEMENTS: Products were also featured in The Stars and Stripes, AMEDD and USAPHC publications. In addition, products are also being used by Allied Foreign National Services. This was the first time any USAPHC products received this level of positive publicity. The posters, using a 1940’s design style, made clear the dangers and symptom of rabies.
Army Combat Uniform – Permethrin (ACU-P) initiative, created a 1950s movie poster image in support of the extensive and critical marketing campaign initiated to educate Soldiers on the new uniforms (ACU-P) that had an insect repellent chemical base. Goal - ensure safe use and effectiveness in preventing insect bites and diseases. Posters were distributed to all Army and Air Force Exchange Service, Clothing and Sales worldwide.
Army Wellness Center (AWC) brochure was created for awareness about new AWCs which assisted in the “total wellness” of Soldiers and encouraged participation in non-directed programs offered. The brochure outlined locations, departments in facility and additional information to encourage Soldiers to partake in healthy eating, exercising and stress release. Brochures were distributed worldwide, to include Army Medical Centers and Veter- ans Administration hospitals.

Visual information specialist, assistant editor of Diversions magazine and marketing specialist responsible for all program marketing and exhibit packages for directorates serving United States Army Garrison, Ansbach, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (Family and MWR) Command to include Child and Youth Services, Army Community Services and Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS). Targeting specific audiences, designed appropriate and dynamic packages for Soldiers, Family Members, Civilians and Retirees. Through expert use of Adobe Creative Suites programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash), and while reviewing customer’s needs, budget constraints and display issues, developed dynamic informational packages to include posters, ex- hibits, banners, brochures and flash presentations.

ACHIEVEMENTS: Completed in less than three days the BOSS exhibit which received special recognition in a worldwide Command headquarters competition.
Web Design Team Leader/Visual Information Specialist/Photo Director
Team lead for IMCOM-E Family and MWR European Website Consolidation Project. Europe wide proj- ect with goal of providing seventeen Garrisons new, branded and easy to navigate websites. Utilizing JOOMLA, a Content Management System, worked with team members to create Garrison specific sites for that would house information from Family and MWR directorates. This included Child and Youth Services, Army Community Services and Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers. Target audience of Soldiers, Family Members, Civilians and Retirees would have access through the new sites to information such as health care, family support, recre- ation, youth and child activities and counseling. Researched aspects of web creation and designed web banners, individual pages and other elements. Developed templates, designing them for easy use by Garrison marketing staff to input information and to have final product easy to navigate and use while structuring product to ensure accessibility to everyone. Tested by adding content into the pre-designed templates. Developed and designed separate dynamic and pages for each audience. Led weekly brainstorming sessions, reviewing researched in- formation, best practices and various designs validating our concepts would not only work, but be appealing. Provided innovative artistic support and guidance to the web designer and reviewed daily means to accomplish the artistic/graphic vision. Conducted Command level briefings on web consolidation progress.
Visual Information Specialist, Exhibits and Video/Building Entrance Designer
Designed, created and printed visual information packages, banners and exhibits. Process included preparing photos, illustrations, and web and multimedia files for use in marketing, outreach and educational graphic pack- ages. Led and assisted in the planning, design, production and installation of several interpretive, educational and informational exhibits and their construction.
Collaborated with Executive Team & scientists to discuss, design and produce all graphic items and technical publications to include State Reports, Research Papers and Research Bulletins. Designed brochures to include Forest Science for the South’s Future and made recommendations for other marketing materials. Created logos to include Forest Eco podcast and Cultural Events Day.
