VacuBROOM - The first ever product I designed. A compact, convertible and rechargeable vacuum cleaner.

VacuBROOM - VacuBROOM - A convertible vacuum cleaner designed keeping in mind the requirements of people living solo. Its basically a cylinder that fits into your palm snugly - use it that way to clean table tops, kitchen counters and the like. Detach the shaft from the back, extend it and click it onto the top of the unit to convert it into a broom shaped vacuum cleaner that you can use on the floor. Compact, fun, and easy to use!

VacuBROOM and KHEL Video. - KHEL is a dynamic modular toy concept. Two primary pieces (Red and Blue) can be used with two secondary pieces (Green and Yellow) to create a near infinite number of interactive and dynamic things through combinations limited only by your imagination. The HALO logo. - These were conceptual products designed for WMF kitchenware during the first semester of my Industrial Design Masters at Scuola Politecnica di Design, Milano. The idea was to come up with fun and intuitive products for the year 2015+... products that use light and colour to communicate with the user. The name HALO here signifies instinct, intuition and purity in the form of light. My team-mates in the project were Burcu Bag (Turkey) and Amalia Monica (Romania).

Thinking the Steven Spielberg way. - On the first day, we were told to pick an influential person. We chose Steven Spielberg. The idea of this was to give a directional start to our project - try to get into the mind of our chosen personality and commence our thought process like he or she would. We listed some of the qualities that make him 'Steven Spielberg' and zeroed in on what we thought was his most appealing trait - a Child at Heart - this became the direction we'd have to take while thinking up ideas for our furniture.

Living on the Floor. - After a lot of research and social observations, we thought 'Floor Furniture' was the way to go... to bring out the child in every person's heart. What you see above is the final product. Its a set of three different types of pieces - A Base, three Cushions, and two of a multifunctional piece we lovingly call 'The Joker'.
