Fashion Designer — Portland, OR
I am a fashion design graduate from CCA now looking for work. I recently have been working as a women's shoe designer for a Dutch nautical company in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Before that, I completed a minimalist knitwear collection called "grey square" - a company I started and founded. I'm most interested in shoes, but I enjoy working in men's and women's apparel design as well.

WORK HISTORY:
Junior Designer at Gaastra International Sportswear (Amsterdam, NL) Summer 2010 (ongoing) - Specialized in design and illustration of women’s footwear and men’s apparel. Involved in all stages, from concept through production. Responsibilities include fittings, production management, color consulting, technical drawings, and travel to manufacturers.
Freelance/Assistant at Hester Vlamings Footwear (Amsterdam, NL) Spring/Summer 2010 - Involved in design and presentation of footwear for Gaastra, Livingstone, Hub footwear, and Hester Vlamings’ own label. Additionally, completed several freelance jobs independently.
Owner/Founder at Grey Square (Amsterdam, NL) Fall 2009 - Fall 2010 - Founded a small knitwear label, designed collection, sourced materials in China and arranged sampling and production in Latvia.
Intern, Nice Collective (San Francisco, CA) Summer 2007- Experience with patternmaking, technical flats, and production management, including material sourcing, and sample garment inspection.
SKILLS:
Working knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Training and experience in sculpture, graphic design, patternmaking and sewing, fashion illustration, technical illustration and photography.
