There is a silhouette of an activity that would be performed during that seasons:h surfing in summer, hiking in fall, snowboarding in winter, and yoga in the spring. The colors were chosen to represent each season: warm colors for summer, warm but more calming colors in the fall, cold colors in the winter, and fresh colors in the spring.
