Senior Graphic Designer at Transport for NSW
Designer / Art director / Creative director working in print, broadcast and online. Studied fine art at the National Art School in Sydney and working in the design industry since. Specialising in colour and concept and bringing fine art skills to the digital world. I enjoy working across all media. Extensive experience and insider knowledge gained from years in television, production design, experiential design, wayfinding and print media.
Print, web, wayfinding, signage, environmental/live event design and photography for Transport for NSW. Recent work includes: posters, brochures, signage, mapping, web, display and environmental design for the Inner West Light Rail extension, Wynyard Walk and the Sydney CBD and South East Light Rail program; internal communications concepts and art direction for the Transport Projects division; art direction on 3D animation, photographic shoots around the Sydney CBD/metro area ; corporate stationary design: corporate reports; presentations for the NSW Minister for Transport; communications event design. Working across several major Transport for NSW projects at once is exciting and challenging.
Work includes design for screen and print, including: animation packages for the Perth International Track Cycling Grand Prix; all print design/production, web and marketing collateral for SOS Marine (Marine safety equipment) and Sea Scoopa (award-winning, NATO rated, man overboard rescue device) ; Architect's corporate identity; Portfolio & Reel rebrand and corporate design: The Editors (edit and screen production house) rebrand and corporate identity design; rebrand, environmental/display and corporate identity design for CBD fashion retailer; corporate presentation and animations for Macquarie Bank.
Creative direction and design for the TVSN Design studio, visual merchandising department and photographic studio. Re-branding of TVSN identity. Designing/art directing: retail catalogues, monthly brochures, direct mail, web micro-site for major marketing project, web banners and electronic sales material, set design and live events styling, signage, style guides, broadcast promotions and internal communications.
External professional assessor for UTS, 4th year Design students. Advising on technical & design issues for final year projects. Mentoring design students.
Working on branding and communications campaigns for Westpac, CBA, Optus, IBM, Railcorp, HSBC, Samsung, Campbells Arnotts, Ricoh, Multiplex, Interface Flor, AWI and Gidget Foundation. Creating concepts, logos, animations, direct mail,
intranet, digital communication, environmental and signage graphics, print and collateral material.
Acting Broadcast and Webcast Promotions Manager. Managed 6 promo producers, Production Supervisor and a Promos Coordinator for 5 months. Worked on The Ashes, Le Tour de France and IAAF International Championships in Athletics broadcasts producing sales reels, promos and web promos. Art directed, advised and assisted producers with scripting, design, editing and film shoots. Provided mentoring to younger producers. Provided concepts and original art direction for award winning SBS Summer campaign.
Special Broadcasting Service [SBS] is one of 8 free to air TV services in Australia. Studio manager and head designer/art director for SBS [TV, Internet & Radio]. Art direction, design and project management for SBS across all areas of design including broadcast, print, marketing and internet. Managing and art directing 12 designers and a studio supervisor.
