The 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show ran from November 21-30, 2014, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The LA Auto Show kicks off the auto show season in North America, and is one of the most influential and best-attended auto shows globally. As the first show of the 2014 - 15 show season my aim was to set the tone for the full season ahead. Being the first major show as Creative Director for Scion, I gave the brand a visual reboot with the goal of creating a more inviting and interactive show experience. LA was the launch of the iM Concept, our new FLATITUDE visual style, new digital media and new engagements. The response from Scion, the media, and especially show visitors was overwhelmingly positive and we are hyped for the major and sub-major shows to come!
SCION SHOW SPACE Each vehicle model had its own two-part video chapter. Part one was an overview of the vehicle and its highlighted features. Part two was a screen takeover of the vehicle driving in a 3D Flatitude world.
Brand new for the 2014-15 season is the Scion Power Player, a double-sided media "juke box" and phone charging bar.
The Scion Swag Machines received new graphics and UI matching the Flatitude visual style. Scion prized are won through Instagram or NFC.
The new Futureviewer is a 3D hologrpahic video experience - something like the main video display in the movie Prometheus. We developed multi-plane video content which brought the iM Concept to life.
Product pedestals received new graphics fitting the with the Flatitude visual style. Social media callout were layered within the static and dynamic graphics.
