PERSONAL PROFILE

Every human being is an artist in some form and so am I. Yes I can proudly say so that art is in my genes which are specially recommended by ‘The Almighty’. I belong to the family of Sompuras who are the chosen ones to build temples and statues. But in this modern world I opted to use my creativity in all the areas of design, stone, computers, fashion, interior, etc. I am very passionate about the industry I am involved with and want to achieve worldwide recognition for my work.

I see one of my major strengths being my adaptability. I am able to jump easily from being a designer, to a basic developer, to project manager to a sales guy or be it an entrepreneur. This adaptability can also be seen in my design work where I am able handle any task I’m given, be it web, multimedia, motion, branding, or print.

CAREER HISTORY
Intact Media – April 2000 to October 2000
Junior Graphic Designer
This was my first career break into the IT industry. Being a vacation job it was very casual but I learnt a lot from the seniors there. I was responsible to create ad banners and image optimization for the websites.

Aditya Infotech (Netlink Solutions India Ltd.) – May 2002 to December 2003
Senior Website Designer
This marks my first leap into designing websites professionally. The internet industry at this point was still in its infancy and I was happy with what I delivered. During this brief period I was lucky enough to work on various projects from all the sectors. Got promoted at the end of very first month and started communicating with the client.

Created more than 50 odd individual websites, along with the companies B2B website and an annual B2B magazine.

Brainstorm Advertising – January 2004 to February 2007
Graphic Designer
At the time, this was a dream job for me; working in the exciting field of Film Publicity Designing. After keeping myself restricted to think within the web design parameters, I found the opportunity to unleash my creativity for the glamorous Bollywood industry. My main tasks included understanding the project brief and then to visualize and create concepts. I used to design campaigns, brochures, print collaterals, cd covers, etc. This job was my stepping stone in the print media. Here I got the opportunity to work with many big and small production houses.

TM CARDS DOT COM / Foub Interactive – June 2007 to March 2009
Visualizer
The company manufactures branded playing cards, customized playing cards and promotional playing cards. They were also the licensee for Disney playing cards and had a sister firm named foub interactive a web design firm.

In this role I performed a huge range of tasks including the creative, design, and production of cards, sales, doing presentations for card games I developed for the Disney range. Managed a team of graphic and web designers, liaising with clients, printers, other vendors, in-house marketing and design teams. The best achievement here for me was to see the happy faces of the kids when they played the games designed by me.

Shampoo Creative Services Pvt. Ltd. – March 2009 to Present
Creative Lead
Now I had a hunger to experience working with multinationals which was offered to me at Shampoo. The company worked for clients Belkin and TOMTOM to name a few.
My task was to build a team and get a process going to meet the packaging change management demands. It was no easy task for me to get into the box again and work within guidelines, building the brand, maintaining the high level of professionalism and still delivering the expected quality of work, but it’s something that we were able to attain and indeed shine in. Designed and executed various packaging for Belkin Products, websites, got a CRM developed to help with project and client management. Had an all round responsibility here too right from creative’s to dtp to proofing to printing to software development to project management to team management to studio management.
