The Golfer's Club - The brand new Golfer's Club store in Cape Town is situated at Canal Walk shopping mall, Century City. The site is great with wonderful exposure for the store as it is seen from the nearby highway, through road and from the shopping centre parkade on the opposite side.

The site did, however, pose some challenges; 80% of the perimeter walls are made up of 9m high glass shop front. The architect was loathe to permit any obstruction of the view through the glass (you can actually see the sky when looking through the store). This is fantastic for creating beautiful buildings... not so great for creating good retail space. We believe, after much negotiating, we got it right! Short sections of wall (only 2500mm high) are placed a few meters off the facades allowing some wall space for retail display. The walls, shopfront side, were dressed with the beautiful golfing imagery that is the signature of The Golfer's Club stores.
We had some fun creating special branded areas for the clothing sections. The special brands include Adidas, Ashworth, PUMA and Cutter & Buck. Each branded clothing area is kitted out with a standard array of slat wall, gondolas and stacking merchandise tables. The background is generic in colour and finish, using white, primarily , as the backdrop.
