Bench Marking - Products in the market were studied to provide a bench mark of what the common features were of smaller chainsaws. Later, quick sketches allowed for brainstorming of concepts and innovations.
Human Factors - Before a final model was built, moch-ups were done to test human factors involved. Once that was narrowed down, measurements were taken and placed onto a simple computer drawing to provide a blueprint for the model.
Electric Chainsaw - The electric saw was kept simple, but safety, innovation, and style were added.
Safety: Two-stage start button, spiked tree grip for kick back, electric brake.
Innovations: Rotating Handle, retractable bar, interchangeable pole/plug rear insert.
