Objective: Design an auto-loading smarter feeding toy to engage a pet and increase their activity throughout the day.
Foobler is an automatic self-reloading puzzle feeder for dogs with 6 individual timer activated Food Pods. Its like having 6 puzzle toys in one that deliver a full day's worth of regular kibble or treats for a dog to enjoy.
Fill Foobler with kibble or treats and set it to release at 15, 30, 60 or 90 minute intervals for up to 9 hours a day. A real metal bell rings when its time to feed.
A dog's natural instinct is to hunt and forage for food as it keeps their brain and body active and engaged. Foobler reinforces this natural instinct for dogs to earn their meals.

Foobler is a pet project developed to encourage healthier active feeding habits.

Several packaging concepts were developed for retail and DTC shipping. Packaging in pet is typically very minimal and shows off the product to tell the story, but Foobler required a more involved package and media combination to both show the product and tell its story simply and clearly.

Foobler has proven to be of high interest and has allowed the design to be modified for development into new sizes and capacities for dogs of various sizes and breeds.

Foobler Bluetooth was developed as a way for the pet parent to custom design feeding intervals and direct dispense via smartphone app. Both an iOS and Android app were developed to work in conjunction with a special edition Foobler that includes a digital speaker for custom sounds to be uploaded for feeding alerts.

Foobler was designed to be a durable feeding toy unlike the typical timed dispenser/feeders and benefit than a simple fill-and-play treat toy. With Foobler a new category was defined in pet feeding and is patent pending and registered TM.

For Foobler's promotion I worked on developing assets for web and other media. Our mascot, Boomer was used extensively as the Spokes Dog for Foobler. Introduced to Foobler at 3mos, he quickly learned and enjoyed the work/reward that the toy provided.
