Pearl Scan Solutions, Manchester, 2008-2009
Document Management Operator - scanning paper documents such as invoices and images, and converting them into digital files for archiving. Involved careful preparation of the papers prior to scanning, solving technical issues with the scanners and software, data input into spreadsheets, uploading scanned information onto a Server and use of Photoshop-based software to edit scanned images.

Free-lance animation for producer KK'S "Dust" music video - was asked along with other animators to submit a 1 minute piece of animation on the theme of "worlds within worlds".

TalkTalk Home-movers, Carphone Warehouse plc, Tulketh Mill Call Centre, 2007-2008
Customer Service Advisor via telephone, advising and helping customers to switch their telephone & broadband accounts from their old homes to their new homes. Checked customers were genuine via the Data Protection Act, listed their new details, advised customers of timescales for connection and final bill dates and troubleshooting problems such as late connections and ending contracts.

North-West Graduate Retention Scheme, University of Central Lancashire, Preston, 2007
Free-lance Website Designer for Jamila Patel, an entrepreneur based within the University of Central Lancashire. I regularly consulted with my client to discuss the work in progress and her specifications. I designed the web-page layout, colour schemes, edited photographs taken by her, and chose other photographs suitable for advertising her work. I also designed a new logo for the web-site and her business card. This was a four week work placement.

University of Central Lancashire, Preston, 2006-2007
Clerical Assistant for the “WISER” Study Skills scheme. This scheme assisted students with essay-writing, oral presentations, grammar structure and reseraching for dissertations. I registered the students onto the e-learning system, logged all the data from the workshop and tutorial registers, dealt with photocopying, printing, creating presentations and work materials for the teachers, and created advertisements for the scheme to be displayed on the University’s plasma screens and computer network. I also designed the scheme’s Totem Exhibition Poster stand and promotional bookmarks for 2007-2008.

Customer Support Co-ordinator. Deployed engineers over the telephone to customers in need of home repair. Required a good memory, computer literacy and clear vocal communication.

Volunteer. I helped to create puppets and costumes for show in the Preston Caribbean Carnival.
