A good way to start is choosing a shoe you are fond of and familiar with. Set your self the challenge of making the design better and bringing your own personality to the design. Once you get more confident, try mixing it up and experimenting.

Thanks for your feedbacks Nando, much appreciated! These artworks were created first by taping up an existing shoe, then applying the design in pen. I then photographed different angles and finally imported to illustrator to trace over.
