EMPRESS, inspired by the History of the Forbidden City and the former Chinese empress Cixi, reflects a
clear oriental inspiration when it comes to the garments` construction and details. Nevertheless,
its feeling is contemporary and western with updated silhouettes, clean lines and innovative cuts.
The collection also reflects an interesting conflict between masculine elements inspired by the armors of
the “forbidden city” and feminine elements such as curved silhouettes and delicate silk fabrics. The result is
graceful and subtle femininity, the signature of LIANGA.
