The Ballet Russes Return - Ballet was not seen as an art form until the Ballet Russes. This is what I have based my designs on. Sergei Diaghilev produced exhibitions that held clear visions of inspiration and the Ballet Russes’ work nearly always acknowledged their heritage.They believed that they could portray meaning within movement, in a way that ballet and dance had not delineated in this way before. The designs reflect the style and heritage of the Ballet Russes, with a contemporary twist.
