This artefact is a very typical Finnish product designed mainly for cooking food such as sausages.
The salmons and the reindeers play a very important part in the Finnish culture. They are exponents of the nature, the one of such great importance to the Finnish people. Also cooking over an open fire can make one feel like being in the middle of it. According to this, the wooden part is inspired by the shape of a salmon and the metal part by the reindeer horn.
