"Eye Candy" - This "eye-catching" necklace is made of 18k yellow gold and platinum. The eye is pavé set with white diamonds and blue (irradiated) diamonds. The pupil is a natural black diamond and the "tear" is a 1.05ct pear-shaped D-flawless diamond. The iris and teardrop are both movable. It was designed in 1979.
"Box This" - 18 carat gold, diamond, and ruby reproduction of the Smithsonian Institute.
"Ring" - This 14-karat gold cell phone, designed in 2000, is set with 466 gemstones, including 39 diamonds, 215 rubies, and 212 blue sapphires.

For its grand reopening following a multimillion dollar renovation, the Headley-Whitney museum of decorative arts featured an exhibit of jeweled items by designer Sidney Mobell on loan by the Smithsonian Institute. An outdoor campaign was created using headlines that toy with the very idea of overindulgence.
