Definitely better. I hope that with this recession and the increased gas prices, we all start thinking of designing better cities, and all it takes is looking at the architecture and urbanism of the Pre-WWII Era.

it's very convincing for american southwest architecture i think. that's great. i always hope that they would start building gas stations like these. http://massengale.typepad.com/venustas/images/gasbackwards.jpg there is a bank in the lincoln square neighborhood in chicago that does the drive through midblock and the building at the intersection. it seems to be better urbanism if you ask me. what are your thoughts?

This Gas Station is part of a new Urban town center in San Elijo Hills, which is a mixture of traditional suburban layout and an actual walkable town center. Architects BP Associates is the studio that created the Master Plan, and many of the buildings for the Town Center. I worked on the Gas Station. The gas station is not on a street front, but laid out as a typical service station, pumps at the front.
