FARE THEE WELL MECHANICAL ART - This is the mechanical for a design I did for Fall '05, the collection now in production. It's the best-seller, which is encouraging, because it's my favorite. FARE THEE WELL -- THANKS A MILLION. My mom loves this one, even though the subject matter is ultimately morbid; the interior print is an ancient Memento Mori; in Latin, the grim but emboldening adage, "Remember that we all must die." So live it up.

CATALOG CENTER SPREAD - Katie's wearing a shirt I designed, the Rorschach u-back tank. We spent a few days shooting in a very cold abandoned prison, and the spread is a Photoshop collage of images from the sprawling complex (and product, of course). The cascading books are from the destroyed prison library, a 10x10 cinderblock sea of fogotten books.

BEAMS BOY DESIGN PROGRAM - Last Fall I did a t-shirt and cap program for Japanese department store chain BEAMS. The product line is BEAMS BOY, ironically targeted towards 16-25-year-old Japanese women. Their production capabilities were awesome; I just drew the design in Illustrator and noted "Appliqé leaf and ladybugs" and they produced it in four weeks.

FARE THEE WELL IN SITU - Here's the FARE THE WELL design in action. This was the first time I'd been able to decide all the dye colors, and we used water-based inks so the finished product has no hand at all. This shot is part of the online catalog-to-be.

ROBIN - This is my brother Robin whom I love very much. This is also only the second PNG file I've saved in my whole life. I put this in here so the page would look filled out and because I had 5K of space left—if you're looking at it, just call me at 704.728.1422.
