I created these with post-its.. - I lead a team of 12 at-risk teens building a functional model of a canal lock, complete with hidden fiber-glass chambers that would hold 6 liters of water to simulate how locks elevated boats on the canal.
The model was commissioned by National Parks services and used to educate 5th graders. My team also silk screened plan and elevation views of the a canal lock to the sides of the model along with stories about life on the canal to complete the educational experience for the young students.
