My name is Ximena Carreira but I like to be called Zime. I live in Córdoba, Argentina. With my husband, Lucas, my daughter, Abril, my son, Milo, my kitty, Java, and my notebooks, pencils and acrylics paints, I share my days, nights and dreams. I work as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. In last years I've discovered my way of expression creating things with my hands.

María Ximena Carreira was born during the winter of 1974 in Buenos Aires.
She studied art all her life. And have a Degree on Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires, where she taught. She participated in several art workshops, photography and illustration with Carlos Baragli, Sonia Esplugas y Daniel Roldán, among others.
Actually she lives in Córdoba, Argentina and works as a freelance designer and illustrator for different clients.
Her illustrations born first on paper (pencil, acrylics, collage) and then mature in digital format (Photoshop, Illustrator).

María Ximena Carreira nació en Buenos Aires durante el invierno de 1974.
Estudió arte desde pequeña. Egresó como Diseñadora Gráfica de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), donde ejerció la docencia. Participó de varios talleres de arte, fotografía e ilustración, de la mano de Carlos Baragli, Sonia Esplugas y Daniel Roldán, entre otros.
Actualmente reside en Córdoba, Argentina y trabaja como diseñadora e ilustradora en forma independiente para diversos clientes.
Sus ilustraciones primero nacen en papel (lápiz, acrílicos, collage) y luego maduran en forma digital (Photoshop, Illustrator).
