Kentucky Derby Museum Souvenir Pewter Spoon - The top of this spoon is the official logo for the Kentucky Derby Museum. They commissioned this spoon for their gift shop. The artwork of the logo was enlarged to 500% and pantographed onto a piece of pewter cut to shape. I placed the horse shoe in the bowl of the spoon for luck and added the roses around the stem as the Derby is "The run for the Roses."
Chief Sequoyah Pewter Ornament - This piece was commissioned by The Museum of the Cherokee. They provided the image seen in the upper left of the page and that was the inspiration for the art work. The artwork was then enlarged to 500% and pantographed onto a piece of pewter cut to shape.
St.Luke's Church Commemorative Ornament - St Luke's Church in Swansea, Ma commissioned this. The drawing in the right side of the page was used to create the artwork. The artwork was then enlarged to 500% and pantographed onto a piece of pewter cut to shape.
Dauphin Island pewter spoon - I designed this piece for the gift shop at Dauphin Island. The shape of the bottom was pre-determined as was the overall size. The only requirement for the design was that it feature sealife indiginous to the Gulf of Mexico. I decided to go the experts and contacted The Cousteau Society. I used a single dolphin image to create the stem and added the shark to the bottom as if it was chasing the dolphins. The top is a collection of other sea life one would find in the Gulf of Mexico.
North Carolina Zological Society spoons - This pair of spoons was designed to the customer's specifications. They sent copies of the images they wanted used. The only change I made was in the chimpanzee spoon where I drew the chimps reaching out to each other.
