Mini decorative frames - This is one of several sets of themed mini-frames or mattes although they could be executed in any size. I designed this particular set with "tween" aged girls in mind. The colors were chosen to appeal to this demographic. I added the words as affirmations to help, in my small way, encourage and nurture a strong, positive self image. The photographs are women in my family.
Painted wooden bangles - This set of wooden hand-painted bangles was inspired by the pattern on the paper shown on the left. Each features the flowers and zebra stripes from the original pattern, a combination that was popular in fashion a few years ago.

The Gerba Daisy motif evolved from a single silk daisy scanned and brought into Photoshop where I played with the color balance. I populated this particular set with photos of smiling children of various ethnicities to reflect the variety of beauty in the colors of the flower...one flower, many colors, all of them beautiful.
