Tool-less Modular Knockdown System - This object is part of a full system of tool-less, knockdown furniture. Each furniture element is a combination of "base" components (various interchangeable flats and connectors) used to create a finished piece. For example, a coffee table is a combination of 2 Set "A" and a Set "B". A small shelf unit is built from a Set "A", 2 Set "B" and 3 Set "C". Finished pieces are instruction dependent, thus allowing for multiple variations with the stock parts.
Illuminated Orion/Gemini Table - A one-off table where the form of the design was driven by the position of stars in the constellations Orion and Gemini. The illuminated ends of the rods on the top map out Orion and at the base, Gemini. The heavy, solid birch base floats above the floor and under the table top, defying it's weight.
Flexible Open Structure System
Economy of Material Table - An experiment of fiscal and visual minimalism. This table is part of a series of work using the cheapest and most mundane of materials to challenge the expectation that material worth = aesthetic quality. Constructed of hand-selected and planed construction studs, this table was made with less than $10 of material.
Slotted Chair Model - In a more constantly mobile world, the way our furniture eases our frequent relocations becomes more important. This model is part of an experiment to create furniture which can fulfill the need of, "can it fit into the trunk of a car"? Simplistic-, stylistic-, mobility-driven design.
SG Storage Unit2 - Multi-use storage design for commission
SD Desk - Glass, birch and forced corroded steel. This desk floats and functions without an imposing presence.
