In drawing 1 we focused more on life drawing and shading using pencils. We had to practice our sketching and draw side profiles of people and hands using guide lines to create a structure which we could follow. Drawing 2 was another skills based class which helped improve my sketching ability. To start off with we had to practice sketching our hands without letting the tip of the pen leave the page. We also had to follow the contour of the hand whilst moving the pen. As the class went on, my sketching ability improved and I was more confident in drawing life like images. By the end we had to present a series of hands moving an object. We also had to practise drawing spoons and created a technique which could be adapted to design other spoons. This theory can be adapted to the design of other products.
