Alba Poretti

Hi, my name is Alba Poretti and ALBACADABRA showcases a selection of my recent creative concoctions. I am an interdisciplinary artist and expert fantasist working principally in the realms of Illustration. I specialize in charmed visual creations both digital and tangible and focus on themes of fashion, play and magical whimsy.

I hold an honors degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and a degree in Fashion Studies, with honors, from Parsons the New School for Design in New York City.

I possess a substantial range of visual creation capabilities. I can conjure up a digital squall with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash while also being technically proficient with more messy, traditional mediums like paint and pens and pencils and also pins and needles and threads.

I worked as an illustrator in the social gaming industry for four years. where I held a position as a senior 2D digital artist for Zynga in San Francisco . There, my work focused on avatar and character development.

In addition to game illustration my creative experience has encompassed a diverse spectrum of projects including fine art illustration, exhibition, print, accessory/ apparel design and construction and surface and pattern design.

I am currently exploring new projects and artistic adventures.
