An active member of the NY's professional community Hickes founded the New York Society of Renderers in 1985. His work has been published worldwide and he was recently named Photoshop Guru of the Year in Illustration at PhotoshopWorld in Los Angeles. He is an adjunct professor at FIT/SUNY.
