2 gal wet/dry vac - This design resulted from a studio class sponsored by Emerson Tool Company. The goal was to design a compact two gallon wet/dry vacuum designated for use inside the home. The small size allows for easy carrying with room in back for hose and accessory storage.
Espresso redesign - This machine is designed to grind beans, brew espresso, and steam milk on its own, with little help from the user. I took the complex multiple steps of current espresso machines and transformed the process into a simple push of a button.
Theraputic toy rocker - This project was sponsored by Taylor Pursell, CEO of NFT, to design play equipment for children with disabilities. I chose to design a toy rocker that emulates the motion of a horse. This process called hippotherapy is the treatment provided when a child rides horseback. The rhythm of the horses walk is transferred to the child’s pelvis in a manner that duplicates the human gait. This builds muscle tone, improves balance, and can even teach children how to walk. My rocker was designed to simulate this same experience.
exhibit design - The goal of this project was to design, develop, and detail a scaled 30’x 30’ trade show exhibit, complete with graphics, application of product logo, packaging method of assembly, material boards, and design documentation. Through this project I gained an understanding of how to effectively apply graphics to desired products. I also enhanced my understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
