Michael Graves Design Group - As an industrial designer for MGDG I was part of a team designing custom furniture and lighting for a 6 billion dollar hotel casino resort, Resorts World Singapore. We were able to do this under tight deadlines while remaining under budget and dealing with a 12 hour time difference between us and the client.

Vase Flower - Vase Flower is a floor standing flower vase that was designed employing the philosophy that an object should be influenced by its role. Vase Flower not only emulates the graceful natural energy of a flower, it also nurtures its content with a delicate clutch.
Record Table - Television sets suck each viewer into their own isolated world. I wanted a focal point that would allow for conversation.
Fire Extinguisher - I set out to design a fire extinguisher that the user wouldn't want to hide away, but rather, display with pride. In this circumstance, a solution that is not aesthetically pleasing would not only be ugly, but also unsafe. I also found that the traditional fire extinguisher design makes it very awkward to aim upward at fires, such as at a stove top. Therefore, I added a second (seltzer bottle) hand position to make this task easier.
Smart Sink - Smart Sink reduces the amount of water used by employing sensors installed in its faucet. Rather than turning a lever one needs only place an object (e.g., hands) under the faucet to activate a stream of water. Once the object is removed the water stops. Furthermore, a display shows water use to remind the user of her or his consumption habits.
Tost - For this studio project each student was assigned a "classic" designer and asked to design a toaster emulating that style. Later a contemporary designer of note was assigned. We were to redesign the toaster in the contemporary designer's style. Finally we were told to redesign the toaster a third time in our own style. Tost is a product of this unique process.
