Alma and the Cave of Breaths

Alma is an experimental game I created where I aimed to make all of its assets out of physical art materials. I originally come from a fine art background, and my medium was 'light-boxing'. I learned it by studying the work of Hari & Deepti. I also studied the work of "Cuphead", a game made completely out of hand-drawn art inspired by the early Disney cartoons. While it was an ambitious project with a time limit of one month, it fell flat because the art itself lacked a significant purpose. I treated the art and gameplay as two separate entities despite them being connected. This is a concept I intend to revisit in the future.
