During my studies in college the college president asked me to design and build a coffee shop in the newly completed library. The next project was to remodel the colege's old administrative offices into a temporary space for the art department. Leading a team of students we completed a 6000 sq/ft (550m2) remodel during the summer semester. The space included a digital lab, print lab, darkroom, ceramic and sculpture studio, teacher offices, music recording studio and classroom spaces.

The 2002 season was spent operating a concession stand and warming hut on the mountain. The stand was a solo operation and every aspect of operation was my resposibility. Stand setup and design, stocking product, on mountain marketing, cashier, cook, and so on.
The 2003 season was spent assisting the General Manager in day to day operations of the mountain. I went where the GM could not be; i.e. meeting repair teams, dealing with employment shortages in every department (especially after fresh snow), mediating customer complaints, and so on....

Member of a team that maintained grooming machine fleet, mountain auxilliary power plants, ski lift backup systems, and all over snow transport vehicles. Responsibilities changed by the season: Summer season was for servicing and overhauls and special projects; Winter time was 24 hour operations in all conditions, I was mostly on night operations and worked as a team of two keeping the fleet of grooming machines operating and handling on mountain emergencys ranging from vehicle recovery to search and rescue.
