Designer/Engineer
Aug 2016 - Present (5 years 9 months)
This is the second of four divisions of Godsil Industries. I am currently working with two companies in the SW Washington area. I work with a model shop in Vancouver that I do various projects for whether it is creating a CAD model of a WWII bomber or a full size model of a Mars Rover. I have created a full size Mars Curiosity Rover, Mars Exploration Rover and Soyuz Space Capsule for them that is being finished up and then will be shipping to a Kuwait Aerospace museum for display. These projects had the directive of “create a full size replica looking like these images but with parts that we can 3D print or buy at Home Depot”. Obviously there wasn’t the budget to cast aluminum arms or assemblies so I had to design and engineer parts from scratch using tubing or 3D printed parts that would give the overall appearance of the space craft. Creating a full model would consist of hundreds of parts that I had to design from scratch in CAD and had to be created in a way to snap/glue together in an assembly. Another company I am working with is a fishing lure company out of Longview, WA. They have ideas on different designs but have their products made in China so it is easier to have me design the parts and then 3D print them for testing before they send the final design to China.
Skills needed in this venture;
Design and Engineering – Reverse engineering on a budget
3D scanning, extensive Solidworks, some Alias and Rhino, 3D printing, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator
Team Working – With this business I am frequently referring back to the company that hired me to make changes to the design or in testing. Most of the time they give me the freedom to do whatever I see that needs to finish the job but some things need their input.

Founder / Design Director / Engineer
Apr 2010 - Present (12 years 1 month)
I started Godsil Motorcars in 2010 to build superluxury cars utilizing a natural gas V16 engine. Through various designers and my own design skills, we created a gorgeous Art Deco 2-door coupe and trademarked the name Manhattan for automotive use. The design is done, the prototype companies are all lined up and the engine is being developed now but I am funding it myself and it has hurt my other business as well since I focus more time on this project.
Skills needed in this venture;
Design Director – Working with many designers and trying to get the concept understood so that it comes out the way that I have envisioned it.
3D scanning, extensive Solidworks, some Alias and Rhino, 3D printing, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator
Visionary – Starting a business is more than a product; it is building a brand and a message. I have created all the ideas, logos and branding for this company. Godsil Motorcars has been featured on Fox News homepage multiple times, in car forums and online magazines like Motor Authority and I get called frequently from all over the world for invites to shows or interviews.

Designer / Engineer / Carbon Composites
Jan 2000 - Present (22 years 4 months)
In 2000 I started a company called Godsil Performance and starting selling exotic car parts. As I was on this journey I met many people in the market place. In February 2005 I was called in for a meeting with the owner of Chevs of the 40's. He owns a huge company with a 20,000 sq.ft. warehouse and 20 employees. I was told that they want to merge my company with theirs to be Serious Overkill. Serious Overkill would be a new division selling parts for Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, etc. We parted ways and I started Exotica Motorsports to pick up where I left off. We focus on exotic car parts from other companies and our own line of carbon fiber parts and other products under the Exotica name.

Chevs Of The 40’s
Feb 2005 - Jan 2006 (11 months)
I was the head of the advertising department. I was in charge of making sure all the ads are designed to the liking of the owner and sent out on time. They advertise in roughly 25 magazines a month so it is a lot to stay on top of while designing new ads.
