This is the color palette that I put together when I was trying to come up with the branding kit for My Enlightened Path. I knew that I wanted something that reflected the metaphysical and natural elements of the jewelry that MEP makes, so I found an image that captured the visual mood that I wanted for the brand, and took colors from that photo to use as the color palette.
These are the business cards that I designed for the brand. We wanted a minimalistic look that also contained the brand colors from the palette, so I incorporated the blue and green watercolor on the front of the card, and then left the back white with simple black font.
I played with lots of different options for this logo. I knew that I wanted something in the round, and I knew that I wanted to include the year the business was established. I tested out different taglines until I finally came up with the line “Gifts for the Modern Mystic.” I wanted something that represented the fact that MEP was an intention-based jewelry business and the items are meant to be gifted, so I felt that “gift” was an important word to include. I chose the word mystic because it captures the essence of seeking higher consciousness.
Even though we liked the colored logo, I also felt like it would be practical to have a black and white version that can also be inverted to white/black to use on various mediums, such as product packaging, social media, and print products.
The business needed some basic earring and necklace cards made to put the jewelry on for retail stores, so I thought that would be the perfect opportunity to incorporate that deep teal and white logo that I had made. The dark background of that logo made the perfect backdrop for the jewelry on the cards. Since most of the jewelry is either gold or silver, they “pop” against the dark background, and it gives the jewelry an elevated feel and look.
This is a small sample of the “stone cards” I designed for the business. These cards are tied onto every bracelet with the information about the properties of each stone written on them. I wanted to make sure I included that black and white logo that I had made, for brand recognition, as well as consistent fonts throughout all the tags.
This is a sample of a social media graphic that MEP used to advertise their Small Business Weekend sale. Again, the brand wanted a minimalistic look, so I went with a simple, near transparent image in the background layered over our favorite dark tone. The brighter colors in the foreground help to keep the focus on the “front” of the image, where the words are.
This is another example of one of the bracelet card designs I created for the brand. With these, I decided to match the theme of the bracelet, rather than using colors only from the business branding kit, but I still stuck with the brand’s fonts and a watercolor background on each image. In this example, the colors of the bracelet are mostly green and gold, so I chose colors in that family.
