medical - A Colorado-based partnership came to me with a groundbreaking idea that needed full development. I teamed up with two engineers to conceptualize, troubleshoot, and refine the device to meet the client's criteria and exceed their expectations. Although simple in nature, it is one of the most challenging and exciting projects I've been involved with. (Due to its stage in the patent and FDA approval processes, both the client and the products application need to remain confidential.)
Turnstone - Markerboard - This project began by researching competitive products and learnings from past attempts at products like this. It had to be beautiful while fitting seamlessly within the brand image of the company. Passing all testing and quality requirements imposed by federal law and internal standards was mandatory. Also, it had to be inexpensive to manufacture, as well as quick to assemble. This product is forecasted to become the industry leader in its category.

Work Brace - Preventing repetitive movement is virtually impossible in a construction zone. Inhibiting flexion and extension, yet allowing ulnar and radial deviation, ie. using a hammer, is entirely possible. A fixed brace, although simple and effective, is too restrictive and impractical. The end product needed to be supportive, responsive, and durable. After careful consideration of the research and execution of the development process, this multi-axis wrist brace emerged as an ideal solution.

Stryker Medical Birthing Bed - Research began with defining user experience which was not limited to the expecting mother. The input of medical professionals as well as housekeeping staff served as vital information when solving the issues surrounding ergonomics, efficiency, and cleanability. My contribution resulted in one handed adjustment and operation features that had always required two, updated styling, and manufacturing cost reduction.
Turnstone - Kick - Projects included in this image are the Groupwork tables, marker board, and curved overhead storage bin.

Leica Geosystems "Rugby" construction laser - A collaborative effort by the design team resulted in the Rugby laser. The customer needed updated and competitive styling around unchangeable internal components.
